Ninety percent of all burn injuries are preventable. The Firefighters Burn Fund Victoria, BC supports fire and burn awareness and educational programs in the community, as well as educational programs for health care professionals. Contact us for more information:

For the Community:

	Burn Awareness Week Held each February. Click here for details.
	Fire and Burn Safety House A model unit is used to educate children in fire and burn prevention in the home.
	Books for Children Books dealing with fire safety have been donated to Victoria Regional library outlets
	Pamphlets, videos, educational materials The Burn Fund purchases these materials for various community groups interested in burn prevention

	Attendance of medical conferences for Burn Team personnel
	Sponsorship of Advanced Burn Life Support courses for medical personnel
	Recent production of "Graft Care" video for health professionals
