All About Us

The Greater Victoria Firefighters Burn Fund was founded in 1978 by two firefighters from the Victoria and Oak Bay Fire Departments. Now called the Firefighters Burn Fund, Victoria, BC the Board of Directors consists of firefighters from Victoria, Oak Bay and the Department of National Defense, burn nurses, and a burn survivor.

The doctors, nurses, support personnel in the hospital, the Burn Fund, and the Peer Support Group are here to assist you through the entire process from injury to recovery.The Burn Fund has raised over 10 million dollars since its inception to help support burn patients and their families.
