About the event

Theme: Preventing Burns in the Workplace

Burn risks exist in every workplace — from kitchens and construction sites to offices and fire stations. Most workplace burn injuries are preventable with proper awareness and safety practices.

This year’s focus is on helping workers and employers recognize hazards, improve procedures, and reduce preventable injuries.

Workplace Safety Reminders

  • Wear appropriate protective equipment

  • Handle hot equipment carefully

  • Inspect tools and machinery regularly

  • Store flammable materials safely

  • Know emergency procedures and exit routes

Why This Matters

Burn injuries can have lifelong physical, emotional, and financial impacts. Prevention remains the most effective way to protect workers and families.

Small actions and informed decisions can prevent serious injuries.
